Pirate Face records a SHA-256 hash for each weight file when Hugging Face provides one. Compare your downloaded file's hash with the value on the model page. A match means the bytes are identical to the recorded Hugging Face file.

If the Hugging Face source disappears, the magnet can still work while peers have complete copies. Models recovered through peers are marked Rescued.

Yes. You can submit a torrent for your model directly through Pirate Face, including a surviving copy whose Hugging Face page is gone. Seed the complete files, then provide the magnet, original repository and pinned revision, file hashes, and license evidence.

Today, the form still asks for an original Hugging Face repository and revision. Publishing a model that was never on Hugging Face is planned.

Eligible MIT and Apache-2.0 submissions with matching Hugging Face hashes can list immediately; removed sources or uncertain evidence go to review. Kimi-K3 and Audn's Penclaw GLM-5.3 have model-specific exceptions.

A web-seed is an ordinary download URL a torrent client can use alongside peers. Some listed torrents include one for a Hugging Face file.

Seeding points are planned, not active.
