These terms govern your use of Pirate Face (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

What Pirate Face is

Pirate Face is an index and peer-to-peer mirror of publicly available, open-weight AI models. We publish each model as a magnet link that downloads straight from Hugging Face and surface its official checksums, license, and metadata. We are not affiliated with Hugging Face.

Your responsibilities

• You must comply with the license attached to each model you download or redistribute. Licenses are shown on every model page.
• You are responsible for how you use model weights, including any outputs you generate.
• You may not use the Service to distribute malware, mislabeled or tampered weights, or content you have no right to share.
• You may not disrupt the Service, its infrastructure, or the swarm.

Handles

You may reserve a handle (pirateface.co/yourname). Handles are verified against an external identity (such as Hugging Face or X). Do not impersonate others. We may reclaim handles that are squatted, inactive, used to impersonate, or used to publish infringing or mislabeled content. See our Takedown policy.

No warranty

The Service and all mirrored models are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that any model is safe, accurate, available, or fit for a particular purpose. Checksums let you verify that a download matches the source - they are not a guarantee about the model itself.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pirate Face is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or of any model obtained through it.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
