Pirate Face only lists models that anyone is allowed to share. Here is what that means in practice.

Open licenses only

A model is listed only if its license lets anyone redistribute it: Apache-2.0 or MIT. Exceptions are rare and approved individually.

Exact copies only

Every torrent matches a specific Hugging Face repository and revision, and its file checksums must match the source. You can check them yourself on each model page.

Community submissions are reviewed

Submitted torrents stay pending until we have checked the license, the source, and the checksums. Only then do they appear on the site.

Only share what you may share

Only submit or seed files you are allowed to redistribute. See the submission terms.

Takedowns are honored
