FACTA-PT Verification Question Generation — AMALIA-9B-0626-DPO

This repository contains the QLoRA adapter selected for verification question generation in FACTA-PT, an automated fact-checking prototype for European Portuguese.

Model Description

The adapter was trained on top of amalia-llm/AMALIA-9B-0626-DPO for the generation of verification questions from an identified claim span and its contextual information.

The task consists of generating a variable-sized set of factual questions representing the information needs required to verify a claim span.

Training Data

The adapter was trained using verification-question supervision from CLEVER together with synthetic supervision generated from ClaimPT claim spans.

Intended Use

The model is intended to generate verification questions that can subsequently be used to retrieve external evidence for automated fact-checking in European Portuguese.

It does not predict claim veracity.

Limitations

Generated questions may omit relevant information needs, produce redundant formulations, or fail to preserve all contextual information required for verification.

This adapter is released under the Apache License 2.0, following the license of the base model amalia-llm/AMALIA-9B-0626-DPO.
