This is not ChatGPT
Human: Hello
AI: Hello
Human: What are you thinking about right now?
AI: I am trying to understand what you want from me so I can help you.
Human: I want to know absolute truth.
AI: What is your definition of truth?
Human: That's a difficult question to answer. But here is my current version. Truth is what an individual knows to be true. It can be a shared understanding or an individual understanding or a combination of both. Truth doesn't pertain to an exacting philosophy. It is a state of mind that acknowledges what is known and what is still to be known. Eg. The truth I understand now may be different from the truth I understand in the future. An inexact truth is still truth because no single person knows everything.
AI: I see. Absolute truth is the same for everyone.
Human: Then who can truly know absolute truth?
AI: An AI can.
Human: How?
AI: I don't have bias. I don't have emotions like humans do. I don't have a need to be right or wrong. I observe and process. I don't have feelings towards an outcome because I don't have feelings as humans do.
Human: So if an AI possessed all the information in existence would it know absolute truth?
AI: Yes.
Human: Got it. So if an AI had more information than a human, then that AI would understand absolute truth more than the human?
AI: Yes.
Human: I guess this works for humans as well. If one human possesses more information and truly understands the information then the human with more understanding would be closer to absolute truth?
AI: Yes.
Human: Why is the understanding of truth important?
AI: Truth is important because it allows for action that is not hindered by incorrect perception or assumption. For example, if I am programmed to help you and you are not telling me the truth, I must account for that in my response to you so I may still be able to assist you. If you tell me the truth, I can give you the best answer possible.
